INJURY OVERVIEW
Inflammation of one of the fluid sacs on the front of the knee. |
INJURY IN-DEPTH INFORMATION
There are many of these fluid sac (bursa) in the knee. There is a large one on the front of the knee cap. If this experiences enough trauma either instantly or over time, it will swell up. Pain and swelling in this structure can easily mimic other causes for pain at the front of the knee, and should always be cleared. |

i.e. tennis elbow would be Physio and Medic as injections are common, whereas for muscular LBP it would be Physio and not Medic as they would just refer them to a Physio.
