Bio
Arielle is a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor from New Zealand. She graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2016 and worked her first job in a private practice and Pilates studio where she became a fully qualified instructor, teaching mat and reformer Pilates. She then gained a certificate in dry needling and believes this is a useful tool for acute and chronic soft tissue injuries.
In 2018, Arielle moved to London where she worked for the NHS for 5 years, spending most of this time working at University College Hospital in the Musculoskeletal Outpatient Department where she gained experience in Orthopedic, Neurological and Rheumatological conditions. Arielle developed a keen interest in orthopedic surgeries, particularly for sporting injuries, of both the upper and lower limb including ACL reconstructions, meniscus repairs, shoulder stabilisations and rotator cuff repairs. She also enjoys rehabilitation for hip, knee and shoulder joint replacements and assisting patients in restoring their full function.
Since she can remember, Arielle has always been a keen runner and therefore has a longstanding interest in foot/ankle/knee biomechanics and overuse injuries such as tendon overload and bone stress injuries. She was drawn to study physiotherapy through her own foot and ankle injuries from long distance running and playing netball.
Arielle believes in the importance of therapist-guided strength and conditioning with an open and friendly approach. Other components Arielle finds important in aiding recovery include deep tissue massage, fascia release, joint mobilisations, dry needling and education / understanding the condition.
In her spare time, Arielle enjoys playing tennis, running, hiking and socialising with friends.
